Description: FOR SALE: Lanner FW-7582C six-port Gigabit router/firewall running pfSense. The device is a general-purpose rack-mountable router and firewall designed to work with a wide variety of software (please note that rack mounting hardware is not included with the device). To make the device useful right out of the box, we installed and configured pfSense, an open-source operating system for networking equipment. To test the device and make port functions consistent with on-device labeling, we made a few changes to the initial pfSense configuration. A detailed configuration note will be provided to the buyer. Alternatively, the buyer could simply reset the software to its initial state. The device runs on an Intel Core i5-2500S processor with 8 GB of RAM and a 32 GB SSD. The processor supports AES-NI crypto. Networking (six Gigabit ports) is handled by Intel 82583V network interface cards. The device is implemented in a rack-mountable form factor. The case is all metal and exceptionally rigid. The device is actively cooled, so you should expect some fan hum. The device is in fair physical condition, with extensive scratching on the bottom (please review the photos). A power cable (Look Ma! No power brick!) is included.
