An important book, in which Dick developed a theology compatible with Bacon’s empirical science, the Philosophy is said to have influenced both Joseph Smith -Book of Mormon Author in his later work The Book Of Abraham by Fawn Brodie in her book No Man Knows My History, and David Livingstone. Dick's book was also in the possession of the Prophet by 1844, at which time he donated his copy to the Nauvoo Library and Literary Institute.
