I have inspected the piece and found no chips and no cracks. Cameo Glass is the art of carving through different layers of colored glass. This is just one of many beautiful designs that glass artist Kelsey Murphy got her inspiration from nature. Pilgrim under Kelsey’s direction had perfected hot casing multiple layers of hot glass and carving through them to the layers below. There are several companies that have done cold casing of layers but none have accomplished what Pilgrim Glass did with hot cased glass. This feat along with the artistry is what will continue to keep this glass sought after in the future as more collectors realize just how special it is.
