Description: Pr. Heathkit W4AM Mono Tube Amplifiers Working Updated Power Supply The W4AM is designed with high quality output transformers in a Williamson circuit. These low hours examples are built up from kits by a technician with excellent soldering skills. One W4AM was rebuilt with a CE Manufacturing four section power supply capacitor and difficult to find axial lead capacitors. The CE capacitors are premium quality and sold through several sources. The second W4AM power supply has been rebuilt with new axial lead capacitors. One of the amplifier chassis paint gold finish has some dark spots that will not rub out. The second W4AM is cleaner and has minor dark spots The output tubes are matched pairs of new old stock Tung-Sol 5881 tubes tested on a TV-7D/U tester. The two vintage 6SN7GTB tubes are measured high on a TV7D/U tester. The vintage rectifier 5V4 rectifier tubes measure above specifications on the TV7-D/U. The amplifiers are working fine. Amplifiers will be shipped USPS Ground Advantage in separate cartons.
