Description: This framed punched tin art is a charming example of primitive handmade artwork. It has no date but is certainly vintage. The picture depicts a farm couple standing side by side with a heart above their heads. The man is wearing a brimmed hat, button-down shirt and is carrying an egg in his hand. The lady is wearing an old-fashioned long puff sleeved dress, her hair in a bun, and is carrying a basket of eggs. There is quite a bit of detail in this picture, and it is signed in pencil on the back of the frame. I didn't know the signature was there until I removed the hanger on the back to replace its nails which were crudely bent, too long and slightly poking thru the front of the frame. In order for the buyer to see the signature, I will include the original sawtooth hanger and some tacks separately. The primitive lap joint wood frame is handmade, probably pine, and fitted together with nails. These old original pieces of americana are quite rare and look especially nice decorating the wall of a farmhouse or cabin. This piece weighs 13.8 oz. and measures 13"x11". Please see my pictures and read the condition description. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you for looking!
