It's probably one of the most under-appreciated designs of all time. Andrews went to work for Guillow as a designer and manufacturing engineer and is credited with designing more than 50 rubber power scale models for the company. He also designed the radio-controlled Beam, Explorer and Vanguard kits Guillow produced. He made his mark in the stunt circles too, winning the 1948 Plymouth International Contest, Open Stunt at the 1950 and 1951 Nats, and the Walker Cup in 1950. We personally prefer this model's flight characteristics over the more popular Flite Streak - it's capable of very tight turns but (thanks to its large stabilizer and elevator) "grooves" much better.
