This disc shaped pyrite is called a "Miner's Dollar" and a "pyrite sun" by locals. They are special forms of pyrite found deep in underground coal mines and only from Illinois. This specimen is particularly nice and measures 1 3/8". I have photographed both sides for your examination. My photos are of the actual item you are getting.
