Description: Up for sale is a large antique stuffed elephant. Made of mohair and stuffed with excelsior. Measures 28" to the tip of the trunk - 20" from the head to the rear. The underside of the ears and the bottom of the feet are pink felt as is the rickrack decorated saddle and head cloth. The trunk is 9" long, the tusks are 4". Shoulder height is 14" and the tail is 5" long. The eyes are cloth. Dates to the early 1900s. Condition is very good for its age. Three of the feet have wear on the bottoms - one has a tiny hole, one has 3 small holes and the third has 2 larger holes, the 4th is intact. The felt cloths is a bit sun faded and has normal age wear. Hard to find old toy in this size. Maker and origin are unknown - probably German. You won't find another of these soon.
