Description: Grand lady doll is 100% antique manufactured by the JD Kestner porcelain factory in Germany in early 1860’s. This is the largest China lady I have seen in decades of collecting. She is 31” tall with a head height of 8” and width of 8”. She has a very fine hairline at REAR sew hole fading to shoulder. Amazed this massive china head has never been broken nor repaired. Has very deep molded features so an older Kestner. She has soft coloring with the manufacture’s signature white space between the lips which curl upward. Her body is beige cotton muslin with old antique leather brown hands worn. Has antique cotton pantilets, slip and black cotton socks. Has a delicate christening gown blouse going under her tiny bright blue floral cotton skirt. Wears an antique gold pearl necklace with cross pendant. She has a chubby double chin.
