Taken off-stage 02/07/07 when the spelling error was caught for the Merlyn coin and the new coin had a new back stamp with a closed "R". It is pressed on a 1966 copper penny for better quality and a longer lasting shine with no zinc streaking. When pressed on a post 1983 penny which is copper plated zinc, zinc cents can show "streaks" or silver smearing that shows through the copper plating. Photo of actual penny!!
