Description: This figurine is made by Fasold and Stauch, which was a high quality German porcelain manufacturer. This scarce sculpture features a mother elephant and baby, and and some plants visible on the back side. It's 8 1/4" tall, just under 9" long, and 4 1/2" deep. The base is about 4 1/8" x 7 5/8", and slightly bowed, which is how it came out of the factory. On a flat surface, the front is just barely above the surface, and the back end more so (see picture with base on cardboard). One photo is with a pop can for size reference. It's in pretty good condition with no chips or cracks. I found several groupings on the larger elephant with tiny nicks in the glaze. One group is on the side of the front leg, one around the end of the trunk, several on the front of the trunk, and one on the back leg. With all the fragile pieces that could break, I will pack extra well and double box for shipping.
