A nationwide minute of silence in memory of Ukrainians, who died because of russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine on 16 March 2022. "Every morning at 9 a.m., throughout our country, we will commemorate Ukrainians who sacrificed their lives. All those who fought. All military and all civilians. Adults and children... All of them!.. Eternal memory to everyone who died for Ukraine!" said the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
