Description: This is a HUGE RARE Meissen Crossed Swords Charger Bowl/Platter. This Platter is HUGE at 17" in diameter and the brim stands 2 3/4" tall, and weighs 6 LBS 3 OZ. The Platter is in Very Good condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. ***NOTE*** The only thing to mention is some wear to the gold accent paint around the brim. This is shown in close up in the last two pictures. The Meissen maker's mark on the bottom has a single slash mark through it which means the platter "was sold undecorated between 1740 - 1938". The exact year is unknown. Most of the items I sell are estate finds, and are presented to you in, as is, as found condition. They are described to the best of my knowledge. Some wear is to be expected, unless described as flawless or mint. I cannot know everything about every item I offer, I do inspect each item and list all known flaws or damage.
