RARE Sony Vaio VGN-AW230 18.4" FHD 1080p Laptop/ C2D 2.40GHz/ 4GB Nice Shape P/R

Description: Hi everyone! Up for sale today is a VERY RARE SONY VAIO VGN-AW230J LAPTOP PC!! I have specialized in the AW-series for many years now and consider them to be my all time favorite laptop model. This particular AW features a 2.40GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 Processor (upgradeable to a 3.06GHz T9900), 4GB RAM (8GB max), dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT Graphics Card, BLU-RAY Player/ Burner (BD-RE), and the GORGEOUS 18.4" X-Brite FullHD Display (1920x1080)! In addition to those impressive specs, this laptop also has top-notch build quality, amazing built-in speakers AND subwoofer, and the most comfortable full-size keyboard I've ever used. These make awesome laptops for streaming videos, listening to music, photo editing, browsing the internet, and just about anything you'd want a computer for. And for being as large as it is, it is surprisingly slim and portable. I have not found any other 18-19" laptop that can compete with the AW and I would recommend them to anyone who likes larger laptops. *Unfortunately, this Vaio will not post and may need a new motherboard.* When the power button is pressed, it lights up green, the optical drive makes a noise and the fan eventually comes on but there are no other signs of life. It is extremely uncommon for these to have motherboard issues and the inside of the laptop being as clean as it is makes things even more puzzling. There are no signs of damage anywhere on the board that I could find and the fan barely even had any dust in it. Physically, this Vaio LOOKS GREAT with only light scuffs and scratches on the lid cover and around the sides. The inside looks EXCELLENT with only a few very tiny nicks on the left side of the palmrest and minor wear on the left upper side of the screen bezel. The keyboard is very clean and shows only very light signs of use. A genuine Sony battery is included and it does take a charge (though longevity cannot be tested or guaranteed). The hard drive cover, caddy and memory door are missing as shown. Sold AS-IS/ for parts or repair. I'll be listing this VAIO at a very reasonable Buy It Now price of $199 plus shipping and insurance!! **I have bought and sold over 100 Vaio AWs in the past 12+ years and they have become extremely difficult to find.
