A veery elegant Japanese coin, it has on one side the imperial chrysanthemum and the denomination: 10 sen. On the reverse is a cherry blossom and the date Showa 16 as well as Dai Nippon (great Japan). It was made during Japan's war years of alluminum to save on much needed brass and bronze coins previously made. Overall, this coin is in fine condition with minimal wear uncirculated. Measures 7/8" in diameter (2.3 cm).
