This is another of my DDAY cards collected over 25 years. I don't have many remaining, and when sold they are gone.Specifically, "Georg Bachleitner, lance cpl in a Grenedier Outfit, holder of the infantry assault badge, veteran of the WINTER CAMPAIGN on the eastern front, who died a hero's death on July 16, 1944 in Northern France, AGED 23." Nice OUTSIDE FULL PAGE photo wearing uniform and overseas hat.Card is in excellent condition, and always RARE TO FIND SUCH A NICE, early DDAY RELATED CARD..... This card puts a name and face and story to a soldier who would otherwise just be a forgotten statistic.
