Description: Remington Rand Model Standard No. 17 KMC--1939 Great Physical Condition. KMC means Keyboard Margin Control. This Model is the workhorse of World War II. Physically this typewriter looks GREAT. All it needs is tender loving care and a tune up. The ribbon needs to be changed and a 'feed adjustment' as the ribbon does not appear to be advancing. All the keys will work better once it has a thorough tune-up. At the moment some keys strike higher while others strike lower. Will send 'as is'. It would be better IF a local pickup could be arranged: Cleveland, Ohio area. It is VERY heavy and packing properly and shipping will be expensive...BUT worth it for this fabulous piece with a workhorse background.
