Description: The Rhodesian military was renowned during the Bush War for innovative tactics and daring operations while badly outnumbered by communist-backed insurgents fighting while it was largely cut off from the rest of the world, becoming one of the Cold War's most infamous proxy conflicts, endlessly glamorized as a soldier's (mercenary's) paradise in the pages of the likes of Soldier of Fortune magazine. Rhodesia has attracted a resurgence of attention, and of course controversy again, in recent years. The set in this listing was bought new out of South Africa from J Cucas', the OEM for Green Leader's repros, both of whom are no longer in business. I personally never used it, so it's time to let it go to someone who can. Aside from being a rare repro, it is also interesting for another reason: the print used is an extremely uncommon version of modern Zimbabwean camouflage that has appeared in some infamous press photos (see last photo).
