Description: The Roland JD-Xi is a fun synth that excels at electronic music grooving, but it is also a decent portable piano, desktop MIDI controller, vocoder or introduction to analog synthesis. This one comes with a custom cloth dust cover that accommodates the gooseneck mic. I upgraded a broken Roland mic with a Behringer TA 312S cardioid dynamic one, also included. This comes with the power adapter, printed manuals and extra printouts I made for the parameter guide and MIDI implementation. You can control a lot from the knobs, but to get the most out of this powerful little synth, you will want to use and understand the menus explained in the manuals. In the JD-Xi, each "program" includes a one-voice analog patch, two polyphonic digital patches and a drum kit along with sequences you can create by playing in real time, or by using the 16 pattern buttons. Its shiny black control surface and red side panels and LEDs that can animate when the synth is idle. The reverb knob can be a little sticky, but is fully operational. I am moving and since I bought the JD-Xi I bought another synth that duplicates a lot of its features so I'd like to pass it along to someone who will enjoy it.
