Description: Romania, like much of the rest of the Warsaw Pact, issued uniforms that were pretty much hopelessly obsolete on the battlefield, but were nevertheless of very good quality. As such, this jacket is solidly built and quite warm - perfect for the fall and winter. It looks very nice as well - although it was made in the 1980s, it borrows on much older styles. Admittedly I would keep it for my own use, but alas, it's a bit too small. This jacket was issued in the Cold War-era Romanian Army - probably to somebody in the "technical troops," given the black thread remaining on the collar. Unfortunately there is a bit of insect damage on one of the epaulets (which occurred before I got it - it was freeze treated right away), and the collar hanging loop has snapped, but otherwise it remains in great shape. Size "48-3," which in this case equals out to a 38" chest and a 23.5" sleeve. -------- I am a longtime collector of Cold War military equipment. However, as the need to pay for grad school looms on the horizon, I am now selling off a good portion of my collection. Follow me to see my latest listings, and grab some fascinating history (and other stuff) at great prices! I am a collector more than a salesman, and so I'm quite happy to do whatever I can to ensure that you get what you're looking for. I'm always happy to combine shipping! Unfortunately eBay makes that process difficult sometimes, but if you can't request an invoice, go ahead and buy what you want and I will refund the difference!
