Insulated mats are also available to reduce heat loss through the worktop helping you to maintain warmer temperatures and save energy. Remember for example that 60W of power is similar to an old fashioned lightbulb, designed to provide steady gentle heat for your plants but will not be capable of creating tropical conditions in a cold room on its own.
