ROSEVILLE POTTERY, EARLAM CANDLESTICKS, TALL VERSION, EXCELLENT GLAZE, HTF~~~~

Description: For auction is a beautiful pair of pottery art pottery candlesticks made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called Earlam. The candlesticks each measure approximately 4 1/4" tall and is 3 13/16" in diameter at the round foot. These candlesticks depicts a round foot with the candlestick rising up in a stepped fashion. The are 2 applied handles on each side that resemble legs on each side of the center stem. The top of the candle cup is 4 sided with the side being slightly curved and rounded on the corners.The candlesticks are considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. These candlesticks shows minor signs of wear. These sticks saw minimal wear as I cannot see any wax residue inside the cups. These candlesticks are signed on the underside bottom "1081' with the red crayon or grease pencil mark. This is as good as a signature as these are the shape number in the Roseville Earlam catalog pages. These are rather hard to find candlesticks and considered quite rare to find especially with no damage. I'm sure the buyer will not be disappointed with them. These candlesticks were made circa 1942. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
