Description: Tall vase from the Royal Copenhagen / Aluminia Tenera series. The hand painted abstract floral decor was designed by Kari Christensen in the 1960s. It has the same decor on front and back. Measures 11" tall, in excellent condition with no damage and is a factory first quality piece. Aluminia and Royal Copenhagen had a symbiotic relationship. Aluminia bought out Royal Copenhagen in 1949 but only in 69/70 did it retire the Alumina name and produce solely under the Royal Copenhagen name. Kari Christensen was one of several female artists behind the hugely successful Tenera and later Baca series at Royal Copenhagen in the 160s and 70s.
