Description: This is a Russian made cloth, ethnic doll of a woman in a rich dress from the Kostroma region in central Russia from the 17th to 19th centuries. This doll's costume is made of brocaded creme skirt with gold figures and edged with ribbon and braid at the bottom of the skirt. Over her satin blouse, she is wearing a red loose bodice held up by two cloth straps over her shoulders, decorated with gold braid and fringe. Her cap is covered with a rich gold and red braid with a large red bow on the back. Do not miss the rich, red satin boots.She stands a little over 18 1/2" tall and is about 9" wide and about 6 1/2" in depth. This doll is made by the well known Russian dollmaker, Galina Maslennikova.The wood doll stand is not included.
