Description: For sale is a single salad plates by Ceramiche Sberna, Deruta, Italy in turtle pattern. The white plate's center well is decorated with a yellow-and-green-shell tortoise with a pair of flowers and blue flourish overhead. The turtle is surround with a yellow band trimmed in blue with a 1 1/8" wide yellow band around rim decorated with blue diamond & dot pattern; the lip is finished in yellow. This piece is in very good condition with no damage. The surface has what first appears as utensil marks but is believe to be faint crazing (photographs 11 & 12). If crazing, anticipate it getting darker and spreading with use and time. The plate has a variety of silver marks on the reverse side (example, photograph 12). This piece is hand signed on the back for Sbrena Deruta Italy. Approximate Measurements 8" diameter1 1/4" high
