This Auction Includes: SCARY TALES #46 (BUT NOTE IT WAS ORIGINALLY USED IN A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FORM AS THE COVER FOR GHOSTLY TALES #106 IN 1973); THIS WAS RE-SIZED AND MOVED AROUND A BIT, TO FORM A NEW COVER FOR SCARY TALES IN 1984, BUT IT'S MAINLY STATS, NOT ORIGINAL WORK, ALTHOUGH OF COURSE SOME WHITE PAINT AND INK WORK WAS ADDED, TO MAKE IT LOOK RIGHT FOR THE DIFFERENT LOGO AND TO ACCOMODATE A UPC BOX AND SO ON. IT DISPLAYS THE ORNATE DETAIL WORK THAT MAKES THE TENTACLED MONSTROSITY SEEM TO COME TO LIFE, WHAT A MASTERPIECE! This piece is a massive 12" x 19" and it's a tremendous stand-alone work of art, worthy of prominent display in any collection. GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Published horror artwork, originally drawn by the prolific artist in 1973, but this version was used in the early eighties, the talent and proficiency is clearly evident, this is a real showpiece!
