Description: This Seeburg Teardrop Speaker is a RS1-8. It is in absolutely ORIGINAL condition both cosmetically and mechanically. This speaker was removed from location a half century ago and always kept in a climate controlled enviornment. Every screw, nut, etc is original to this speaker. There are no cracks or chips. I doubt another one will ever be found in this condition. This speaker in my opinion should NOT be restored as it is an excellent original. This speaker measures 17 inches by 11 inches by 5.5 inches and weighs 12 pounds. These SEEBURG TEARDROP SPEAKERS 1-8 were produced from 1946 to 1948. Seeburg Teardrop Speakers (CV) were produced between 1946 and 1954. There were many different versions. Some had volume controls, on/off switches or both. They came in many different colors, IVORY being the most common. These speakers can be used with a standard stereo system using an 8 ohm connection. They are also Constant Voltage 70 volts, 500 ohms when used with a jukebox. They can be used with almost any jukebox. The constant voltage speaker was a commercial application to insure the same sound level throughout the establishment. Any questions please ask before purchasing as there are no returns on this item.
