Description: Signed copy of Life's Treasure Book Past, Present, Future by Charles M. Sheldon (1857-1946). Sheldon coined the saying What Would Jesus Do in his first book, In His Steps, in 1896 which is still repeated today. Signed by the author and inscribed by someone who was close to him and given as a gift to a person named Alice. A book of spiritual guidance and a how-to of ways to be happy and fulfilled. Originally published in 1929, the copyright date is missing from the credit page and looks like it was intentionally deleted when printed—not sure why. On the flyleaf is Sheldon's signature along with his location, Topeka, Kansas. Below it is an inscription from a friend of the author which alludes to a relationship with Sheldon as he/she mentions that the signature has sentimental meaning to the inscriber. The signature of the inscriber is very stylized and difficult to make out—looks like initials, W. W. M. The inscription is dated 1942. The cover looks like it was professionally reattached as there's mending paper inside. Otherwise a nice solid used copy with normal wear for its age. The spine and back cover are blank and intact. No missing or loose pages. No other writing or bent corners. 112 page soft cover book measures 5-1/4 by 7-1/2 inches. See many other new, vintage and antique items at my other listings.
