Marietta Piano Accordions were prized for their smooth shifts, staying in tune and hated time in the case. The player wears out before these accordions. Built in Italy from the 1930’s to the mid 1960’s. Marotta reeds and components signify quality from a bygone era. Polka bands prefer the vintage PA’s. This is a perfect candidate to have professional microphones and pick up installed on its next service. I would recommend new straps, back pad and carrying case. The original velvet lined alligator hide carrying case has served its purpose. This silver pearl & Ivory beauty deserves a new case to rest & travel for the next generation. The old cliche they don’t make them like they use too. Definitely applies to this vintage PA out of the travel case. Boo Yah! Best suited when the bellows were stretched and the beer flowed at the Slovenian Home on the weekends. Or Summer picnics at The SNPJ Farm Where everybody polkaed to Frankie Yankovic and the heroes of the day.
