This punch was formally produced by the Carl/Carla company but its production has since been taken over by The Punch Bunch. The formal name now is a Cosmo Blossom but I am going to leave it as cosmos. Most of the Floral Punch Art books still refer to it as Cosmos. This is the small cosmos punch and is one that I find particularly useful for making single flowers, layered flowers, and using as centers for other flowers. I really like the pinkered edges on the tips of the spokes on this one as it lends itself well to the carnation type look. The punched out shape measures 5/8 inch across and this shape comes in small, medium, and large. Whether used alone or layered with the same or different shape, the cosmos makes a delicate looking and delightful little flower. This is a regular plunger style punch that is open on the underside so you can see where you are punching. It is shown here double layered, triple layered, folded in half,and used as a center for a daisy like flower. I carry over 350 styles, sizes, and shapes of punches in the store. The wider paper quilling strips, such as ¼ , 3/8, and 5/8 widths, are also ideal for use with the mini, small and sometimes medium size punches.
