A sliding base for tracking adjustments, thumbwheel-controlled height adjustment, and traditional pattern anti-skate complement a satin-chrome-finished fluid-damped lift/lower control and low-friction, fully shielded races for both axes. Model M2-9's single-element balance system carters to cartridges weighing between five and 12 grams and affords exact setting of vertical tracking force.
