Description: This is a fully polished piece of Burmite (Burmese) amber that contains a super rare land snail with a worker ant next to it and a curled millipede, all from the Cretaceous Period. It is interesting to note the worker ant is so close to the snail. Perhaps they were interacting in some way just before their death?These organisms were alive at a time when dinosaurs including T-Rex and Triceratops still walked the Earth!The piece itself weighs 2.4 grams with approximate dimensions of 2.3 cm length by 1.8 cm width and 0.7 cm height. This piece is genuine amber formed over millions of years of polymerization.Burmese (Burmite) amber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky resin during the time of the dinosaurs.
