Description: snakewood blank with minimal figure thoughout. pics shown with Both sides wetted with alcohol. * Sizes are 20x2inches with thickness being between .075-.25inch Snake is extremely hard and know for cracks and checks. It often has cracks and checks on surfaces and end grain CA is needed most of the time to aid in using this wood. I try to make the best possible blanks I can from this wood but it's just impossible to make perfect blanks if your afraid of small defects or imperfections or not used to using CA glue or working with snakewood I don't recommend buying simple as that it's beautiful but it's a pain if you don't know what your doing!!!! All Blanks may have slight defects such as checks and bark inclusions but are sorted as cut to avoid as many defects as possible before listing. All blanks are cut to as close as listed sizes as possible but some minor variation of 1/8+ or - may be seen. All pics showing blanks Wet are wetted down with Alcohol as to show the figure but not change the moisture content of the wood.
