The lens is in good shape all-around with some cosmetic signs of use/wear (like some paint wear on the body and a ding or two) but nothing too scary. Glass is good. The main thing to mention is a few scratches, mainly off to the outer edge of the front element, but thankfully the deep ones are out of the image circle and are not visible in images. I have confirmed this with several high-megapixel full-frame Sony cams at various apertures against a blank backdrop. I haven't seen them in a single image. Image quality is fantastic and tack sharp.
