Description: Republic - Fleming Dial Conversion Telephone Directory. 1953. Book was not to be used until June 7th, 1953. I believe this book was issued when the people in here either got their first phone or perhaps when numbers expanded with exchanges at the beginning. Perhaps up until 1953 people in this area had 4-digit numbers without the prefixes. This book covers the Raytown area and perhaps the eastern tip of Kansas City. Checkout the photos of the pages to see addresses. Directions were included as to how to make a call and party lines. This is softbound and measures 6.25 by 9.25 inches. It has 28 pages. There are pencil marks on the front and back cover and on the first few pages.
