G.Strekalov participated in 5 Soviet space missions aboard Salyut-7 and Mir space stations.Flew Soyuz T-3(1980),Soyuz T-5(-983),Soyuz T-11/T-10(1984),Soyuz TM-10 and Soyuz TM-21(return Atlantis STS-71,first Mir-Shuttle docking 1995). 99th space flight participant Strekalov was awarded Twice with highest award Star of the Hero of Soviet Union. Carrier in Cosmonautics started from work with Sergei Korolev in OKB-1 , where G.Strekalov participated in assembly of world’s first satellite Sputnik-1.
