Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE For sale is an original, vintage Soviet Order of Labour Glory 3rd Class,Type 2 from my personal collection. This is an original award from the USSR made in Russia--not a recent reproduction. The award was established 18 January 1974 and was meant to be the civilian counterpart of the Order of Glory. It was awarded for exceptional labour achievements. The person initially received the 3rd class, and for further achievements was awarded the 2nd and 1st class. The engraved serial number "175818" on the reverse suggests that it was made in the mid to late 1970s. You will receive the medal pictured. This single-piece medal is made of silver (~34g) with gold plating and high quality enamels; it measures about 47 x 41 mm. The award has clearly been worn but is in great condition. It has little/no gilt loss on the ears of wheat and minor gilt loss on the lettering. Enamels are intact and clean/bright. The reverse has the Leningrad Mint stamp [МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР (COIN YARD)]. The original, soiled ribbon is mounted to an original five-sided suspension with pinback.
