Description: Soviet Russian USSR Order of the Red Star with serial number in the 1-1.5 million range, awarded in 1945 for 15 years of long service in the NKVD to a Captain of the NKVD in Ashgavat, Turkmenistan! A Service Record for the recipient is available in the Russian MoD archives, presenting an opportunity for further research! The research supporting the identification of the recipient by award serial number is a redacted excerpt of an archival document (apparently from a “closed” archive) that provides the following information:1) a list of award recipients, the names and serial numbers of the awards presented, and the serial numbers of the accompanying order/medal booklets2) the date of awarding3) the awarding authority – both the body that authorized the award and the government official empowered to physically present the awards To reiterate – the archival document is excerpted (i.e. snippets of pages from a multi-page file) and redacted (award serial numbers for other recipients have been blurred out). That is what I received with the awards, and that is what I am passing on (electronic format). Professional English translation available if requested before receipt of item. Archival portrait of the recipient (also in electronic format) is included. Condition is outstanding, as seen in the images! The serial number of the award is authentic and matches the serial number shown in the archival documents, obviously!
