Description: Soviet Russian USSR Medal Order of the Red Star #3,5xx,xxx awarded in 1968 to Ivan Yakovlevich Belyavsky, deputy platoon commander in an Independent Ski Battalion for fighting near the icy lakes of the Russia-Belarus-Latvia border in January 1944. When his platoon commander was knocked out of action, Belyavsky took command of the platoon and by his personal bravery and example led his troops to repulse three enemy counterattacks. He killed 11 "Hitlerites" during the battle. Condition is outstanding, as seen in the images! Original screw disc included.
