However, do note that it has a crack running down the middle about half the length of the griddle. In my opinion, I do not think it will affect the performance of grilling a steak, but I do want you to know that is it there and I'm selling it in AS-IS condition. Handle to handle it measures 16". The actual cooking surface area measures approximately 12" square. Staub describes it being 13 inches. It weighs 10 lb. 10.5 oz. on my postal scale.
