Description: Stunning Antique 1895 Silver Heart Pill Box Samuel Boyce Landeck / Simon Rosenau Fabulous detail and fantastic condition perfect for any collector This fabulous piece was created by Simon Rosenau in Germany then imported to England by Samuel Boyce Landeck, it was assayed at the Sheffield office in 1895. This piece has the Simon Rosenau makers mark stamped on the back along with the Sheffield hallmark and Samuel Boyce Landeck's mark, this dates to 1895, The custom act of 1842 ordered that imported gold and silver could not be sold in Great Britain unless it had been assayed at a British office, In 1867 the foreign mark was introduced adding the letter "F" to the approving British hallmark. Condition is used but stunning for age with minimal signs of use / wear, the hinge is in good order please review pictures. Approximate dimension's below...
