Description: This rare 1959/60 Yaou 6G-397 (which is identical to the General [Yaou] 6G-397 version) is in excellent and fully original operational and cosmetic condition, and is a real powerhouse receiver... Pulls in several local stations loud and clear... Nearly all pieces extant of both versions (Yaou and General) are either operationally impaired (require a recap) or completely inop (hard broke), thus making fully original operational pieces like this especially rare... This piece has a small chip on the bottom interior mating surface of the back cover, which does not affect its fit, form, function or cosmetics (not externally visible)... The DOM is 3 March 1960, but the design year is 1959... This Yaou model/version of the 6G-397 was previously undocumented by the radiomuseum until I recently made them aware of its existence... So I think its fair to estimate that this Yaou version is much rarer than the General version... Comparatively, this radio remains a much better value than the broken General radio also currently listed here in eBay... Regardless of the great value this radio represents at the current price, I'm still a bit more flexible on ballpark offers with this radio due to the difficulty in gauging collector demand for this particular make/model... I'm selling this piece via other venues as well, so message me before purchasing (at my ask) to ensure it still available... If you make an offer and it's already sold, I'll just decline the offer and reply therein, so it's easier if you just make an offer…
