Photographed by Dezo Hoffman in 1964, this iconic image was taken in Paris as the band played 18 nights of gigs, and hearing of reaching Number 1 with "I Want To Hold Your Hand" in the USA. It has since symbolized the beginning of their British Invasion, which began the day they landed at JFK Airport on the 7th February 1964 and met a frenzied reception of press and fans. The image has been used widely including the cover of the boxed set compilation, The U.S. Albums, which was released on January 21, 2014 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles first trip to the US.
