Description: THE FISHER Model 800-B TUBE Receiver! EARLY 1960's ! Tested & Working!! Used, Tested, Working. Fresh off the technician bench. Cosmetically nice (SEE PICTURES) This is a EARLY 800-B (original capacitor that was replaced was date coded 1962) Our tube guru technician just went thru this piece and replaced a array of parts (some bad, some weak, some inferior). Some modifications were made for noise reduction and safety. The power switch was replaced with a OEM one about a year or less ago (soft start with Thermistor was also added to prolong the longevity of the switch) The almost new Tung-Sol output tubes have low use (about year and half old? ; ...with average or less listening hours for that time frame). Although plenty of parts have been replaced over the years; ...the age of this unit is obvious; ..and more work may need to be done at some point. Thats upto the new owner. But for now its ready to roll !!
