Description: Usual library markings and card pouch. Formerly belonged to college library. Suitable for study or research. Usable book and very readable. Semi-fragile condition, but if held securely and handled with care it should be serviceable. Cover has overall wear. Rub wear on edges and corners has worn through surface covering. Spine ends are rubbed and have small cloth tears. Cover hinges are split. Binding is coherent through text, but loosened with age. Noted some small marks in contents section, but did not see any in text. With the rough cut pages, it's hard to be sure nothing is missed, but I believe if marking was missed, it must be minor. Also noted a few instances of text pages with small edge tears, but all text pages are in good reading condition with no major blemishes noted. There is given at the back of the book a list of publications which were available at that time which might be a useful resource for antique book collectors. The introductory page to this section has a sizable lateral tear and a missing top corner. The material on mythology covered is extensive. I would not have had enough photo allowance to include all the contents section, but have included several pictures to give an idea. Scholarly book. 594 pages. 9 inches x 6 inches.
