The medal is bronze, it is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and in a high grade circulated condition. It was made by the Medallic Art company that was located in Danbury, Ct in 1983. One side reads THE NEWS-TIMES - 1883-1983 - CENTENNIAL and shows a building in the center. The other side at the rim reads 100 YEARS OF DAILY PUBLICATION - DANBURY, CONNECTICUT and in the center, it has the number 100 with a printing press.
