Description: This beautiful Tarot deck has quite the back story- Elizabeth Hazel was participating in a seminar/meet 'n' greet in London, UK in 2008 with a Tarot society located there. Tarotist Casey DuHamel (my friend and one-time columnist for Ms. Hazel's American Tarot Association Quarterly Journal)) had a good friend in London who was instructed to get right down to the convention and purchase one of Liz's decks and send it to the US for her. I am a huge fan of author/artist Elizabeth Hazel and Casey gifted this deck to me in 2008. I am selling my collection now and this deck is one of my prized collectibles. The cards are poker sized (which I love), come housed in a very attractive aqua colored shiny sturdy box and has a signed and numbered COA and cover-card. The art work is best described by Ms. Hazel as being "pure Liz". A fantasy/fairy tale/whimsical art style accompanied by vibrant colors and loads of detail inspired this deck; although based on the RWS tradition, Ms. Hazel has removed any Christian symbolism making this deck an any- faith/pagan/wiccan deck. Also, the Majors are unnumbered making their sequencing applicable to both the RWS or Marseilles systems: The Fool can be at the Aleph (RWS) position, the first unnumbered card (Marseilles), Shin 21st position (esoteric Marseilles), or Tav 22nd position (esoteric Marseilles), Strength can be eighth (RWS) card or eleventh (Marseilles) card and the same applies to Justice- eleventh (RWS) or eighth (Marseilles). To me, leaving the majors unnumbered was genius! This deck is in perfect, new, unblemished condition and is absolutely complete. It did not sell in a factory wrap or come with an LWB. This Tarot deck is an amazing collectible: it pains me to sell it, but I know a deck like this will find a lovely home.
