Description: A Stunning Thorens TD124 (Mk1) or TD124 Mk 2 Armboard for SME 3009 or similar From Audio Classique: Customised design for optimised and perfect cartridge alignment This superb high gloss Acrylic Armboard is for mounting an SME 3009 S1, S2 or S3 or newer SME tonearms such as 309 onto a TD124 (Mk1) or TD124 Mk 2 Transcription Motor Unit. It will also be suitable for other tone arm such as Mission 774 and Hadcock G228 (when using the Hadcock SME adaptor plate) This Custom Armboard is specifically recommended to achieve perfect alignment if you are using an Ortofon SPU Cartridge. Brand New and made from laser cut 10mm high gloss cast acrylic, this Armboard compliments the finish of both the TD 124 and SME 3009 perfectly and as can be seen make the whole assembly look absolutely stunning. This arm mount has such high gloss finish it is very difficult to do justice to with a photograph. This Audio Classique product is far superior to the original acrylic Armboards, using the very best quality materials and being 10mm thick (the original was about 5mm) it matches the height and profile of the TD124 perfectly and provides a much more rigid base for the tone arm. The standard TD124 armboard compromises the mounting position of the 3009 and makes it difficult to achieve good cartridge alignment. This Audio Classique Custom version of the Audio Classique standard SME 3009 Armboard is designed to optimise the position of the tone arm mounting by moving the tone arm pivot point outwards, allowing you to achieve improved (and easier) cartridge alignment. If your TD124 does not have a lid or you have the clearance to accommodate this custom version it may be a better option. Due to the overhang the armboard requires a 10mm clearance at the side. The Armboard 3009 Tone Arm mount has also been re-engineered and provides a highly effective but simple integrated mounting arrangement for the SME. Allowing it to be set up perfectly putting the rubber grommets under perfect compression or to be tightened down firmly if hard mounted (without grommets). This design solution makes the Arm/Armboard assembly far more rigid to the benefit of the audio performance. Supplied with Audio Classique Stainless Steel Tonearm Mounting hardware.
