Description: On offer here is a new-in-the-box Mammoth brand Torque Multiplier.This our flagship model and our most popular ratio.The "commercial" line is for "stump-puller" applications, for example, when your D9 bulldozer is stuck in the mountains of Canada and you really need to get that sprocket off before winter snow sets in or the flood waters rise. We have been producing these since 1993. We originally produced in Russia to serve the European market. In 2000 we moved production to Hermann, MO to enter the US market. Because of the high price of paperwork, we recently moved some production to Taiwan. These are made with Japanese alloy gear steel which means it's likely as good as American, German or Swedish steels. Certs available upon request. The device pictured here is a 16 to 1 planetary. 1/2" input and 1" output. The 16 to 1 is our most popular ratio. The actual output may vary based upon angle of incidence etc. It is labeled 16 to 1 gear ratio; 12.5 to 1 nominal output. It is rated at 2000 ft/lbs. torque. That is 2700 Nm. Similar devices are listed in Grainger for $2000. I have no idea why. I had a tool dealer call me from Texas and ask why mine were so reasonably priced? I told him, "No lawyers, no carpeting, no air conditioning, no secretaries." He laughed and bought ten (different models). I am starting this at $368 which reflect my costs of production and shipping plus a reasonable fee for repeatedly dropping it on my toe..
