These figures were re-issued by TakaraTomy in 2011 as the 20th entry in the "Encore" line-up; being the first re-issue of the original Constructicons since 1986! The set includes all six members, plus:Hand weapons for all members;Combined mode head, chestplate, waist, hip, forearm, and fist parts;Combined mode rifle and optional green 'head cannon';2x chromed drills;2x chromed missiles;7x collector cards. ℹ️ Please note that this the Encore #20 version of the figure; which replicates the appearance of the original Constructicon toys. This is not Encore #20A, which features a variety of changes intended to render the characters more accurate to their cartoon appearances. But wait, there's more! The figure also comes with the X-Transbots "XP-1 Destroyer" upgrade kit; released in 2012. This initial offering from the then-fledgling third-party manufacturer contains numerous parts to take your Devastator to the next level; including:Cartoon-accurate head with light-up feature;Cartoon-accurate chestplate;New waist design with swivel articulation;New hip and leg parts with hip, thigh, and knee articulation;Cartoon-accurate forearms with articulated hands;New, larger two-part Devastator rifle;Replacement cartoon-accuarate purple mixer barrel for Mixmaster;Upgrade set collector card. ⚠️ Please note the following regarding the upgrade set:The light-up feature in the head still contains the original battery (which, incredibly, still holds a charge)! While it appears possible to change the battery by removing a small screw on the back of the head, this seller has not done so (and does not know if this is definitely the case). The articulated fingers utilize friction joints (as was the case with many early third party figures, and even TakaraTomy's initial Masterpiece offerings). Please be aware that these small parts can (and will!) pop out of place if not handled with care. Similarly: there is no peg to connect the grip of the combined mode rifle to the inside of Devastator's hand. (The seller suggests investing in poster tack or similar for posing purposes.) The replacement hip-flaps are permanently secured to the replacement legs. (Some early photos of the set suggested they may be removable and / or interchangeable with the original combined mode hip-flaps; but this does not seem to be the case.) The figures are preowned, but have been well cared for, and stored in a smoke-free and temperature-controlled environment. They will be shipped in a 12" x 9" x 3.5" mailing box, surrounded by an unfathomable amount of bubble wrap to ensure that they reach their destination safe and sound.
